As you can probably see, this is my very first, brand spankin' new post! I am new to this blogging world but I have always appreciated blogs and I thought this would be a great way to keep everyone updated with all of the great stuff going on in Room 102. I appreciate you taking the time to come check out my blog and I would love for you to leave a comment so I know that I'm not out here in the middle of blog world talking to myself. :)
I can't believe that summer has came and gone and we are getting ready to start back to school. I had a wonderful, yet very busy, summer. I got married on June 29th to my best friend, Nicholas (Nick) Roberts. We had an outdoor wedding and got over 14 inches of rain that week so, to say the least, it was a squishy wedding! However, we had a great time and felt very blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful people. We finished up the wedding festivities with a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas. Unfortunately, I didn't get rich off of the penny slots, maybe next time.
So, this will be my first year teaching as 'Mrs. Roberts' so if I don't respond when you say my name, that's why. This will actually be my third year teaching overall, though. I taught 4th grade at Mt. Healthy Prep and Fitness Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio my first year and then I taught 5th grade at Utica Elementary last year. While I have met some great students and teachers along the way, I couldn't be more excited to join the team at Duncan Falls as I am quickly finding out that it is a wonderful school filled with excellent teachers.
Well, while I could ramble on and on, I better get myself back to work. Please stay in tune as I plan to update regularly with classroom happenings and helpful information pertaining to math! Again, thank you so much for checking out my blog.
